Qualitative social research is a creative field. With three examples developed at the Bauhaus-University Weimar (DE), this talk stimulates new ways of exploring cities/societies and shows how to integrate artistic approaches.

Frank Eckardt is an urban sociologist and professor at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Germany. His main research interests are questions of social inequality, cultural diversity and political participation.

Methoden, in der Kunst und Wissenschaft, sind dazu da, einen Weg zum Problemverständnis zu ermöglichen. // Methods in arts and science exist for enabling ways to understand troubles.
