Open call for a 12-month Research Assistant Position (assegnista di ricerca / Forschungsassistent*in) at the Faculty of Design and Art of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, dedicated to “BIODESIGN – Exploring the Educational Practice of Growing Biomaterials for Sustainable Design”.

The project focuses on getting a better understanding of the potential and challenges of working with bio-materials, bio-fabrication and bio-labs within the field of sustainable design education through the creation of installation(s) that allow us to experience the actual process of growing new materials for design. In collaboration with unibz natural science department(s) in the field of agricultural chemistry and applied biology we foresee developing prototypes of a living laboratory that demonstrates and (re)presents the concept of growth.
