Porte aperte aims to explore and design the option of co-housing with the citizens.

Tessuto Urbano è un progetto che vuole innescare uno spazio-tempo comune. Uno spazio sospeso, dove si verifica un’interruzione temporanea delle limitazioni imposte ed una riappropriazione del tempo al di fuori della routine quotidiana. ∞ Tessuto Urbano is a project which aims to activate a common space-time. A floating space that interrupts the imposing limitations temporarily, and hence allows a re-appropriation of time from daily routine.

An invitation to rebel urban gardening
Il progetto ha l’obiettivo di trasformare Bolzano in una città ricca di specie e colori. Attraverso azioni di guerrilla gardening, gli spazi inutilizzati del quartiere Don Bosco diventano luoghi dove far crescere vegetazione spontanea di comunità. ∞ The project aims to transform Bolzano into a species-rich, colorful city. Through guerrilla gardening actions, open spaces around the Don Bosco neighborhood are to be used to sow wildflowers together.

Il fulcro del nostro progetto è la cucina conviviale e la degustazione di cibo stagionale proveniente dal contadino locale. Attraverso gli interventi condotti vogliamo sensibilizzare i partecipanti al cibo locale e valorizzare l’impegno dell’agricoltore. ∞ The heart of our project is convivial cooking and enjoying seasonal food from the local farmer. Through the conducted interventions we want to raise awareness for local food and value the farmer’s engagement.

Battibécco
Birds of Bolzano
Battibécco è un progetto che si pone l’obiettivo di educare e sensibilizzare alla biodiversità presente in città attraverso l’interazione con gli uccelli che la abitano. Come società possiamo diventare più sensibili e attenti a come stiamo influenzando gli habitat di altre specie. ∞ Battibecco aims to educate and raise awareness of biodiversity in the city through the encouragement of interaction with birds. We can as society become more sensitive and thoughtful of how we are affecting the habitats of other species.

»String Figures«, è un gioco conosciuto in Italiano con il nome di »Ripiglino«. Il Ripiglino viene giocato da due o più persone utilizzando le mani e una cordicella. Un partecipante tende una corda chiusa tra le dita che viene poi »ripigliata« da un altro partecipante ed intrecciata in modo da creare una figura. In questa interazione tra due o più individui, emergono schemi sempre più complessi, attraverso il fare creativo, le pause, i vari passaggi della cordicella e l’azione continua di intrecciare i fili tra loro. E’ stata proprio questa azione il leitmotiv del progetto che studenti, docenti e ricercatori hanno sviluppato insieme alla cooperativa sociale OfficineVispa e ad altri attori del quartiere Don Bosco di Bolzano.
Con questo spirito sono stati affrontati temi seri in modo umile e giocoso, per attivare, ispirare, facilitare la co-creazione, generare esperienze di micro-utopie… Spazio pubblico per le persone, beni comuni urbani, impoteramento sociale, sovranità alimentare, edilizia sociale, economia circolare, biodiversità, pedagogia politica e giovani. Queste le tematiche con cui gli studenti si sono confrontati – attraverso dialoghi collettivi, interventi creativi e laboratori. Passo dopo passo hanno sviluppato format per workshop e interventi nello spazio pubblico, che in un modo o nell’altro mettono insieme persone, idee e strumenti per “fare qualcosa”. Nella loro specificità, ogni progetto ha l’obiettivo di facilitare collaborazioni e dimostrare così che quella splendida esperienza di fare qualcosa insieme è ancora possibile. Per imparare insieme attraverso modalità autonome, leggere e stimolanti. Non è cosa da poco in tempi che tendono ad deresponsabilizzare le persone, spingendole a ritirarsi, isolarsi e soprattutto a rinunciare all’idea di poter cambiare le cose insieme. Fare qualcosa insieme significa agire diversamente all’interno di sistemi che ci riducono al ruolo di concorrenti nel lavoro, nella scuola, nei consumi e persino nel tempo libero. Questa esperienza può diventare un approccio per non perdere del tutto la speranza.

In-between String Figures
Many know string figures from their childhood. They exist in many cultures. One person stretches a looped cord between their fingers, the next person takes over and crosses the cord in such a way that a pattern is created, which in turn is taken over and changed by another person, and so on. In this interplay between two or more people, more and more complex patterns emerge, through creative doing, pausing, handing over and continuing to knot. Interweaving threads was the leitmotif of the project students and teachers/researchers together with the social cooperative OfficineVispa and other actors from Bolzano Don Bosco.
In this spirit serious issues have been tackled in humble and playful ways, to activate, to inspire, to enable co-creation, to generate experiences of micro-utopias, … Public space for people, urban commons, social empowerment, food sovereignty, social housing, circular economy, biodiversity, political pedagogy and youth. These were the topics students engaged with – in collective dialogues, creative interventions and workshops. Step by step they developed formats for workshops and for interventions in public space, that in one way or another bring people, ideas and tools together to “do something”. In all their diversity, each project aims at facilitating collaborations and the beautiful experience that it is possible to do something together. To learn together in ways that feel free, light and empowering. This is not nothing in times that tend to be disempowering, leading people to withdraw, isolate, and above all to give up the idea of being able to change things together. Doing something together means acting differently within systems that reduce us to being competitors in work, school, consumption and even spare time. Ultimately, it can thus become an approach for not giving up hope completely.
