exhibition and symposium

In how many ways can we play in our cities?

We are pleased to invite you to two initiatives related to the themes of play and cities: a participatory exhibition and an international symposium. Both events will be held on Thursday, 11 September, at unibz, Bolzano campus – in Green Island, on the ground floor, accessible from the main entrance on Piazza Università.

Giochi-amo così (Participatory Exhibition)

In this three-day participatory exhibition, we invite the children of Bozen-Bolzano to explore unibz’s Green Island through open-ended and unstructured interactions. We hope our project will inspire children to inhabit and enjoy the green spaces of our city through play!

Dates: Thursday 11th and Friday 12th September 2025, 15:00–19:00; Saturday 13th September 2025, 09:00–12:00

This exhibition is part of the research project “Playground: Designing Visions of Play in a More-than-Human World” (CUP I53C23002180005), financed by UNIBZ’s internal start-up grant at the Faculty of Design and Art. The activity is coordinated by Prof. Sónia Matos (principal investigator of the project), research assistant Nicole Faiella Perdomo, and a team of researchers consisting of Dr. Teresa Palmieri and Dr. Jacopo Ammendola.
