A week before the thesis presentations of the March session, the graduating project “La Dolce Ciclovita per l’Italia”, by the In Motion collective (Michelangelo Lamonaca and Vivian Art Rustige), will be awarded by Isola Ursa Institute at the Klimahouse event. The Italian institute, which is composed of professionals from the field of urban and landscape planning and others, recognised the project of the Master in Eco-Social Design as a best practice for sustainable transformation in the field of mobility. The prize-giving ceremony on the 11th of March will be held within the fairtrade Klimahouse 2023 and the In Motion team will shortly present the project in front of Isola Ursa engineers, architects, planners, and the public. Indeed, the Eco-Social community is gladly invited to be part of the ceremony and support the duo. A bike ride will follow the event to make an efficiency comparative test between bicycles and electric cars through Bolzano’s streets and bike lanes. 10:30 Conference (at the “Isola Ursa” dome at FieraMesse BolzanoBozen) – The event is open to all. Speakers in addition to high-profile professionals and engineers, such as Dr Enrico Giovannini – Director of the Sustainable Development Association and Minister of Sustainable Mobility in the previous Draghi government. In this time frame, the In Motion team will be awarded by Enrico Giovannini and Francesco Moser (ex-Italian cyclist and farmer).
11:30 A bicycle ride through the Bolzano bicycle lanes network FIAB Staa, Isola Ursa and CRO will accompany Francesco Moser, engineers and journalists and members and sportsmen, along the bike paths of Bolzano. Two stops are planned: at the Town Hall Square for the meeting with the Mobility Councillor of the Municipality of Bolzano Stefano Fattor and in the Park of the Regional Hospital with the medical staff of the CRO
