Exploring space with all senses but one
Somatic practices see the body as the centre of our experiences and learning and can help us in developing empathy and being aware of our interdependence. In this session participants will be guided through a blind exploration of their space, experiencing how our perceptual systems support us when we choose not to rely on visual information. A final space for discussion will allow participants to share their experiences verbally or visually.
Tips: Find a quiet, uncluttered space and wear comfortable clothing (barefoot or with socks). You might need a cloth to use as a blindfold, and paper/pen/pencils for visual feedback.
