This music project is closely connected to my artistic research, where I explore the intersection of art, design, and climate justice activism. In TXAP, I examine the relationship between music, storytelling, and dance, focusing on the performative and activist dimensions of Black Atlantic music (e.g., Cumbia, Blues, Hip Hop, Reggae, Funk, and Salsa). These musical traditions have historically served as forms of resistance in Africa and the Americas, playing a crucial role in defending nature and community well-being while envisioning utopias and fostering resilience. During the concert, I will create a space for dance and rhythmic interaction with the music, interwoven with historical narratives that highlight the deep connections between these musical genres and activist struggles in the Global South. The performance will be framed through the lens of communal joy as a form of collective care, resistance, and a strategy for envisioning Afro- Indigenous futurities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

About<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am a musician, artist, designer, and researcher committed to fostering participatory art, political activism, electroacoustic music, and storytelling. I am the creative director of Resonar Lab, an international collective of artists, designers, musicians, and activists dedicated to promoting ecosocial transformation. I have experience as a professor at several universities and have led multidisciplinary projects with a social impact, integrating art mediation, community engagement, and collaborative approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I currently work as a researcher at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), exploring the intersection of ecosocial activism, participatory art, electroacoustic music, and alternative epistemologies\u2014such as decolonial, Afro-Indigenous, and queer perspectives. My work takes the form of performances, music, writing, and community-based projects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
