ZigZag
The “Alternative Bodies” workshop invites participants to critically explore sexuality and intimacy beyond conventional norms. Through a collective mapping exercise, the group will first identify unconventional erogenous zone to then explore the subjective experiences of sexuality in the acts of giving and receiving pleasure. Insights will guide a creative prototyping session using everyday materials and objects to design symbolic tools that spark dialogue around alternative intimacies. This tactile, collaborative process fosters new narratives and challenges normative assumptions, opening space for diverse, embodied, accessible understanding of pleasure.
About
ZigZag is a collective formed by Viola Redaelli, Jacopo Margaglia and Margherita Poli. It is born inside the Eco-Social design MA, in Bolzano- Bozen in January 2023, and it is still active in the territory.
By collaborating with NGO Hackability and different organisations and users, ZigZag aims to create an accessible path toward inclusive and mindful sexual health for all. It aims to overcome attitudinal and environmental barriers such as social stigma and wrong perception of people with disability and the absence of specifically designed tools, in order to create a more inclusive and accessible way to sexual and emotional health. ZigZag’s main challenge is to question and rethink the world we are used to live in through a non-ableist perspective building an inclusive and fair representation of the reality we experience.
