Afro-Indigenous Music of Resistance, Storytelling and Communal Joy

Presented by
Ivan Txaparro

TXAP is a South American music project founded by Ivan Txaparro in Berlin in 2021. On stage, it presents a fusion of Afro-Indigenous influences, Afro-Diasporic rhythms, electronic sounds, and multi-instrumental music. The project explores the minimal side of Latin American electro-acoustic sounds, drawing inspiration from folk music, hip-hop and storytelling. During the concert, Ivan will provide space for dancing and interacting rhythmically with the music, coupled with historical narratives related to the music and activist struggles in the Global South. All of this will be presented from the perspective of joy, healing, and communal celebration.
