GSTŌLT is a project about giving space to the unspoken. Over three months we facilitated meaningful interactions between BASIS and the local community by exploring and addressing historical trauma and eliciting community curiosity and engagement, Through several participatory workshops the community were involved in creature-making and storytelling leading to the gentle metabolization of a local tale into a dynamic sculpture of a dragon’s back, a written fairy tale, a procession, and a temporary installation in Schlanders-Silandro. At the conference, participants will weave with us: to imagine a creature and construct a shared reality with courage and curiosity.
