In the aftermath of disaster, urban environments undergo profound transformations, presenting unique challenges and opportunities for design intervention. This workshop invites participants to explore the critical role of urban furniture in shaping the recovery and reconstruction of processes and to delve into the multifaceted intersections of power dynamics, community resistance and design innovation. The workshop will begin with exploring the complex power dynamics that emerge in post-disaster contexts. Participants will examine the role of urban furniture as a catalyst for social cohesion, inclusivity, and sustainable development.
