An Other Self, Or Embodiment as Practice Beyond Relational Spheres
Presented by
Vivien Tauchmann
In the workshop we will explore practices of kinaesthetic empathy as applied tool for dissecting and reflecting on power relations. In a collective and safe space we will investigate by means of the body movements a range of oppressive intersections of labour, capitalist production and exploitation in relation to technology and the “green revolution”, while questioning internalised behaviours and notions of ‘us’ and ‘them’. In moving between action and reflection, we will discuss potential changes in perceptions of privileges and acting in solidarity.
