Is a social design lab process a useful way to achieve transformation?<\/h2>\n

Transformation is a process about restructuring or developing new structures. It occurs over\u00a0longer periods of time, is often not predictable and can be hard to plan.\u00a0How can we approach challenges and guide people through participatory design processes in\u00a0order to make positive impacts on their lives? Which principles should we follow in order to\u00a0achieve sustainable benefits within a project? How can we develop ownership and liability among\u00a0participants? How do we create leverage? These are some of the questions the social design lab in Munich is trying to find answers to. Within\u00a0this strategic setting, the Hans Sauer Foundation is developing a model which offers a structure for\u00a0different kinds of process trajectories.<\/p>\n

About<\/h3>\n

About the Hans Sauer Foundation and the social design lab\u00a0Since 1989, the Hans Sauer Foundation has been supporting innovative approaches which aim to\u00a0improve social and ecological situations. For the past years, the Foundation has been searching for\u00a0ways to put social innovation into practice more actively and reach new systemic levels. By testing\u00a0participatory and co-design methods in different contexts such as education, migration, circular\u00a0society and urban development the Foundation is gradually gaining more experience and\u00a0knowledge on how to address challenges in these areas.\u00a0The development of the social design lab is an approach to transfer learnings from project work\u00a0into practical frameworks and make them usable and tangible for others.<\/p>\n
